Why are logical volumes failing to activate during boot with the error "Timed out waiting for device"?
Issue
- After installing or updating the kernel, logical volumes are not activated during boot.
- During boot, there are messages stating
Timed out waiting for deviceand the boot drops intomaintenance mode.
