Kernel panic with hard LOCKUP detected due to the console being flooded with huge amount of messages

Issue

  • The server crashed due to: "Kernel panic - not syncing: Watchdog detected hard LOCKUP on cpu 15"

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • 3rd party module "sfc" (however the issue may be caused by whatever module)
