Heap consumed by SSLEngineImpl and JettyAlpnOpenListener$1 with HTTP/2 enabled on HTTPS

Issue

  • After enabling HTTP/2 on our HTTPS listener, we are seeing heap consumed by many accumulating instances of sun.security.ssl.SSLEngineImpl and io.undertow.server.protocol.http.JettyAlpnOpenListener$1 in org.eclipse.jetty.alpn.ALPN objects map.
