RHEL4 networking commands doing DNS lookups are segfaulting when LDAP is used to hold DNS records
Issue
Using OpenLDAP to hold DNS records and performing DNS lookups against the LDAP server:
# grep hosts /etc/nsswitch.conf
hosts: files dns ldap
Commands that involve DNS lookups are segfaulting:
# hostname
linux851# ping linux801
Segmentation fault# ldapsearch -x
Segmentation fault
