How do you automate the unregistration of an offline host in SAM?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • I can't find a way to unregister a host that has been registered with subscription-manager when that host is no longer online (i.e. the host has been disposed of) other than using the web interface. This may be inconvenient since I'm limited to 10 deletions at a time and it's very slow. I'd much rather use the subscription-manager command and be able to specify a consumerid to delete. Unfortunately, there is no flag for the unregister option that allows me to specify a comsumerid. It will only unregister the host I'm currently logged into.

Environment

  • Subscription Asset Manager (SAM) 1.1
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6
