Unable to delete ".snapshot" directory mounted form NetApp share?

Issue

  • Running FIND on production Red Hat Enterprise Linux server resulting in below error message:
find: Filesystem loop detected; `/backup/.snapshot' has the same device number and inode as a directory which is 1 level higher in the filesystem hierarchy.
find: Filesystem loop detected; `/usr/global/.snapshot' has the same device number and inode as a directory which is 1 level higher in the filesystem hierarchy.
# ls -ldi 
332533162 dr-xr-xr-x 2 root root 0 Dec 31  1999 /backup/.snapshot
332533162 drwxrwxrwx 16 root root 264 Aug 16 20:15 /backup/
14969499 dr-xr-xr-x 2 root root 0 Feb 13  2012 /usr/global/.snapshot
