How to set string property of AMQP message in qpid C++ client?

Issue

In C++ client of qpid broker, I can't set string application property of a message. Despite I set property type as string, it is sent as vbin16 AMQP type.

Other qpid clients (Python, Java) set the type to str16 by default. How to enforce str16 type in C++ client?

  • MRG Messaging (any version)
    • qpid-cpp-client RPM (any version)
