Issue

  • pvmove fails in clustered environment. pvmove will fail with error
# pvmove /dev/mpath/360060e801525bd00000125bd00002f28p1 /dev/mpath/350002ac006a912f6
  Shared cluster mirrors are not available.
  Failed to convert pvmove LV to mirrored

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5, 6, or 7 with Resilient Storage Add On
  • lvm2-cluster
    • locking_type = 3 in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf
    • One or more volume group with the clustered attribute set
    • Using pvmove to move one or more clustered logical volumes
