Unfencing fails with logged message 'Timer expired' in a RHEL 6 or 7 High Availability cluster with pacemaker
Issue
- Fencing with
fence_scsiis failing with 'no reservation exists', which indicates unfencing failed. When we look in the logs, we see unfencing being carried out, but says it timed out:
Nov 17 11:01:43 [29581] node1 stonith-ng: notice: stonith_action_async_done: Child process 43410 performing action 'on' timed out with signal 15
Nov 17 11:01:43 [29581] node1 stonith-ng: error: log_operation: Operation 'on' [43410] (call 20 from crmd.29389) for host 'node1' with device 'scsi' returned: -62 (Timer expired)
- Our
stonithdevice's unfencing attempt times out - How can I change the timeout value for unfencing by a
stonithdevice?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 or 7 with the High Availability Add-On
pacemaker- One or more
stonithdevices in use that that require unfencing
