Yum PYCURL ERROR Citing SJIS Repositories as 404 Not Found

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

When attaching subscriptions to registered RHEL systems, the following repositories are automatically enabled:

  • rhel-sjis-for-rhel-X-server-eus-debug-rpms
  • rhel-sjis-for-rhel-X-server-eus-rpms
  • rhel-sjis-for-rhel-X-server-eus-source-rpms

This is causing yum to fail when attempting to list repositories or update the system:

[Errno 14] PYCURL ERROR 22 - "The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found"
https://cdn.redhat.com/content/eus/rhel/server/<sjis>/repomd.xml

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
