How do I stop receiving I/O errors from LUNZ luns on Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems with EMC Clariion SAN's attached?

Issue

  • Cluster nodes show IO errors on lun that is no longer attached to server these error messages show up everyday at the same time.

  • Errors occur when Red Hat Cluster Suite service qdiskd starts:

  • Kernel is logging in I/O errors on LUNZ disks that are  automatically assigned when EMC clarion luns are assigned.  Is  there any way we can mask these LUNZ luns so kernel won't see them and  log I/O errors ?
