System hang during heavy NFS I/O on RHEL 4
Issue
- System appeared hung
- Apparently doing lots of I/O to NFS server, then writing local I/O
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 (RHEL 4)
- Using the client system to copy large files on a trans-Atlantic NetApp filer from one directory to another
