If a logical network is added to a cluster, will the hypervisors in that cluster go to Non-operational immediately due to missing access to logical network cluster resource?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We have a production cluster with about 12 Hosts , we would like to add a new logical network to each of the Hosts in the cluster. I would like to know what is the best way of doing it without causing any disruption to the existing VMs running on these hosts.

  • If we do it one Host at a time by adding the new logical network to it, how is it going to behave? As there will be a mismatch in the network configuration of the Hosts in the Cluster, will it cause the other Hosts in the cluster to be non-operational? Will it cause the Host that hasn't the new logical network added to go to non-operational?
