Unable to change users passwords on SSSD clients if password control is not enabled on the backend servers
Issue
- When password control is not enabled on the backend server, you can not change a user passwords via a RHEL 7.x sssd client
- Regarding the previous RHEL 5.x and 6.x releases, based on this article, "Password change operation fails using SSSD against Oracle/Sun Directory Server fails & Tivoli Directory Server ", a workaround is proposed. This no longer is the valid approach in RHEL clients.

- Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition (ODSEE)
