What data needs to be collected for rpm & yum database analysis or backup?

Issue

• Red Hat requested the yum & rpm databases be collected for review for the following reasons:

  • Complex yum dependency errors
  • Interrupted or incomplete yum transactions (or duplicates)
  • Review of the databases in a stable environment

• How to back up rpm & yum databases
