IPA key authentication logs false error messages for root user

Issue

  • In systems where root user is configured to authenticate with local authorized key and not in IPA when login to system with root user results error messages, but when login with IPA user no error messages seen.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2
  • Systems configured with IPA server and root user configured to authenticate with local authorized key and not in IPA.
