Broadcom bnx2 driver crashing with Dell OMSA 7.1.0 in RHEL 5.8
Issue
When service network restart command executes , NIC driver crashing and network connection going offline.
Driver fails to reset/unload, the following messages are logged to system console/log:
bnx2: fw sync timeout, reset code = 5040006
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.8 (Tikanga)
- Dell OMSA 7.1.0 and Broadcom driver for Linux (bnx2)
