NIS user is not able to login through GUI

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Able to login through console

  • Users home directories are mounted through NFS

  • When logging through GUI getting following Error:

/etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: Registering your session with utmp
/etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: running: /usr/bin/sessreg -a -u /var/gdm/:0.Xservers" -h "" -l ":0" "vrcepos1"
localuser:vrcepos1 being added to access control list
No profile for user 'vrcepos1' found

**(gnome-session:7600): WARNING **:Unable to lock ICE authority file: /home/vrcepos1/.ICEauthority
