LTO5 tape drives are not detected due to isci driver
Issue
- On a system, LTO5 tape drives are not detected due to isci driver. The dmesg output reports the following messages:
isci: Intel(R) C600 SAS Controller Driver - version 1.0.0-rh
isci 0000:07:00.0: driver configured for rev: 5 silicon
<snip>
isci 0000:07:00.0: Loading user firmware failed, using default values
isci 0000:07:00.0: Default OEM configuration being used: 4 narrow ports, and default SAS Addresses
ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:07:00.0[A] -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 193
PCI: Setting latency timer of device 0000:07:00.0 to 64
scsi1 : isci
scsi 1:0:0:0: timing out command, waited 22s
- The issue is reproduced even if an LTO5 tape drive is replaced to another. So, the issue is not due to hardware condition.
