Puppet host connected to Red Hat Satellite 6 receives server certificate B: certificate verify failed

Issue

When running # puppet agent -tv on client we receive the error:
Warning: SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=SSLv3 read server certificate B: certificate verify failed: [CRL is not yet valid for /CN=host.example.com]

  • Time not in sync can also cause this issue:
puppet agent -t 
Warning: Unable to fetch my node definition, but the agent run will continue:
Warning: Error 400 on SERVER: Failed to find clientf.example.com via exec: Execution of '/etc/puppet/node.rb clientf.example.com' returned 1:
