"[MetaMatrix][DB2 JDBC Driver]JTA is not supported for this version of the database." error

Solution Verified - Updated -

Environment

  • MetaMatrix Enterprise Server 5.5.2
  • IBM DB2 Database version 9.1.x thru 9.5.x

Issue

  • Error message given is: Could not start Connector ConnectorID<1009|1158>.[MetaMatrix][DB2 JDBC Driver]JTA is not supported for this version of the database.

  • The database version is 9 and we are successfully connecting with the same connector from other MetaMatrix servers.

Resolution

MetaMatrix 5.5.2 packaged MJjdbc.jar only supported up to DB2 version 9.1. If you are using a version above that you will need to download and apply the newest MJjdbc.jar to the server and the metamatrix-jdbc.jar to your clients.  (This driver version supports up to DB2 version 9.5)

You can download the latest MetaMatrix-jdbc.jar and MJjdbc.jar files from:
