JBoss EAP does not start with https-listener configured with proxy-address-forwarding

Issue

JBoss EAP will not start up when I set proxy-address-forwarding on the https-listener in Undertow.

<https-listener name="test" socket-binding="https" proxy-address-forwarding="true"/>

I see this error message on startup:

Message: WFLYCTL0376: Unexpected attribute 'proxy-address-forwarding' encountered.
