Adding Red Hat provided Errata to a cloned channel in RHN Satellite fails

Issue

  • RHN Satellite reports in the Add Red Hat Errata page, that one or more Red Hat provided Errata are available to be added to the RHN Satellite Server, even though it is believed that these errata already exist in the channel.

  • /var/log/rhn/rhn_taskomatic.log reports a database constraint violation:

    INFO   | jvm 1    | 2012/08/01 13:58:00 | 2012-08-01 13:58:00,943 [Thread-2648] ERROR com.redhat.rhn.taskomatic.task.ErrataQueue - com.redhat.rhn.common.db.ConstraintViolationException: ORA-00001: unique constraint (RHNSAT.RHN_ENQUEUE_EOID_UQ) violated

  • Cloned software channels, that were cloned from another cloned channel
