How to add external directories/files to application classpath in JBoss EAP 5 / 4

Issue

• How to add external directories/files to application classpath in JBoss? I would like to place shared libraries or property files to external directory without packaging these to application.

• Is it possible to add a single file using codebase without using any wildcard like * ?

• We are looking for a solution for JBoss EAP 5.2 to add external jar (from a directory) in the same classloader of a webapp.
