Why OpenSWAN fails to create IPSEC VPN tunnel in my network?

Issue

• openswan setup hangs up at final route .

• Our issue is that there doesn't seem to be any route back to our 10.X left side.... the device on the left (CISCO SWITCH) can connect fine, auth = fine... tunnel comes up we just don't think there is proper routing...
