Agents fail to connect after changing JON Server HTTP Port

Issue

  • Problem changing HTTP port
  • Agent no longer connects to JON server
  • Agent and all its resources are unavailable after changing JON Server port

Environment

  • JBoss Operations Network (JON) 2.2
    • 2.x
    • 3.x
  • JON Server HTTP port (rhq.server.startup.web.http.port) has been changed by updating rhq-server.properties file
  • Registered JON Agents have been reconfigured to use the new port by running rhq-agent.sh --purgedata --cleanconfig
