- Why SELinux has to be disabled on RHEL before installing SAP HANA ?
- Why SELinux has to be set to disabled for SAP HANA ?. Quoting the following documentation from SAP: Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux_RHEL_6_x_Configuration_Guide_for_SAP_HANA_en Chapter 2, Section 2.3 Prepare the Host This section states, " The following preparations must be made."
Page 8:
Disable SELinux in /etc/sysconfig/selinux
# sed -i 's/^SELINUX=enforcing/SELINUX=disabled/g' /etc/sysconfig/selinux
# sed -i 's/^SELINUX=permissive/SELINUX=disabled/g' /etc/sysconfig/selinux
