Unexpected output from gluster volume tier status command

Issue

The following command is used to show recent promotion/demotion of files in a tiered Gluster volume:

# gluster volume tier <volname> status

Sample output:

# gluster volume rebalance tiered_vol tier status
Node      Promoted files Demoted files Status 
--------- ---------      ---------     --------- 
localhost 0              7             in progress 
host01    0              0             in progress 
host02    3              0             in progress 
volume rebalance: tiered_vol: success: 

The output of this command may differ from expectations or seem to be incorrect. To understand the output, you should be aware of your tiering configuration options. Migration can be tuned through a number of options, so you should keep all possible settings in mind when viewing the migration metrics.
