  • Getting resize2fs: Permission denied to resize filesystem while attempting resize a mounted ext4 filesystem:

    # resize2fs /dev/vdb1
    resize2fs 1.42.9 (28-Dec-2013)
    Filesystem at /dev/vdb1 is mounted on /mountpoint; on-line resizing required
    old_desc_blocks = 148, new_desc_blocks = 165
    resize2fs: Permission denied to resize filesystem
