  • Getting resize2fs: Permission denied to resize filesystem when online resizing the filesystem:

    [root@localhost~]# resize2fs  /dev/mapper/vgtest01-lvtest01

Filesystem at /dev/mapper/vgtest01-lvtest is mounted on /test01; on-line resizing required
old_desc_blocks = 148, new_desc_blocks = 165
