Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • When compiling with glibc in RHEL5 (glibc-2.5-65.el5) and RHEL6 (glibc-2.12-1.25.el6), we are detecting similar memory errors that are causing processes compiled against these versions of glibc to crash or hang.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.0 - 5.6
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.0 - 6.1
