RHEL 5.4 default log rotation cronjob causes problems in a RHEV shared storage environment
Issue
- The default log rotation cronjob that happens at 4:02am causes problems in a RHEV shared storage environment. If all RHEL guests/hosts write to NFS at the exact same time each day it can potentially overwhelm the NFS server.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV)
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 virtualization guests prior to 5.9
