On RHEV-H, crond keeps logging "EXEC FAILED (/usr/sbin/sendmail): No such file or directory"

Issue

crond keeps logging error messages such as:

Oct 18 04:22:01 hostname CROND[20651]: (root) CMD (python /usr/share/rhn/virtualization/poller.pyc)
Oct 18 04:22:01 hostname CROND[20659]: (CRON) EXEC FAILED (/usr/sbin/sendmail): No such file or directory
Oct 18 04:22:01 hostname CROND[20649]: (root) MAIL (mailed 324 bytes of output but got status 0x0001#012)
