Kernel error while trying to compile application

Issue

When trying compile an application I am getting error about missing library file:

# make
make -C /lib/modules/2.6.32-220.el6.x86_64/build SUBDIRS=`pwd`
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/kernels/2.6.32-220.el6.x86_64'

  ERROR: Kernel configuration is invalid.
         include/linux/autoconf.h or include/config/auto.conf are missing.
# yum search kernel-devel
Loaded plugins: product-id, refresh-packagekit, rhnplugin, security,
              : subscription-manager
Updating certificate-based repositories.
Unable to read consumer identity
