Why is there different latencies between Openshift host and docker container

Issue

  • Why there is this noticeable difference in latency when executing curls from the OSE host system (approx. 30ms) and executing curls from within a docker container (approx. 55ms).
  • What is the additional latency expected to be imposed by OSE/SDN?
