Why "bnx2fc: byte_count = 62 != scsi_bufflen = 0," messages appears while accessing FCOE provisioned LUNS in RHEL6?
Issue
- When using FCoE we present a LUN from an EMC VPLEX. As soon as we do any access to the disk the bnx2fc driver will spam messages like this:
May 19 15:31:53 localhost kernel: bnx2fc: byte_count = 62 != scsi_bufflen = 0, task_id = 0x3f0
May 19 15:31:53 localhost kernel: bnx2fc: byte_count = 126 != scsi_bufflen = 0, task_id = 0x330
May 19 15:31:53 localhost kernel: bnx2fc: byte_count = 62 != scsi_bufflen = 0, task_id = 0x182
May 19 15:31:53 localhost kernel: bnx2fc: byte_count = 62 != scsi_bufflen = 0, task_id = 0x210
May 19 15:31:53 localhost kernel: bnx2fc: byte_count = 62 != scsi_bufflen = 0, task_id = 0x3f0
May 19 15:31:53 localhost kernel: bnx2fc: byte_count = 32 != scsi_bufflen = 0, task_id = 0x300
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux(RHEL) 6.
- kernel version earlier than 2.6.32-504.12.2.el6.
