Unable to view Japanese character while loggin in through Putty from Windows

Issue

  • I am logging in to RHEL system from Windows box using Putty
  • I am not able to view Japanese characters in file opened through putty session.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
  • Login session from Windows using Putty
