fsck error: Filesystem contains large files, but lacks LARGE_FILE flag in superblock

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • At boot time, the above error is displayed after one of the auto-fscks attempts to run. Example:

    /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol03:
Filesystem contains large files, but lacks LARGE_FILE flag in superblock

/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol03: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY.
            (i.e., without -a or -p options)
