Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We have a RHEL webserver running OTRS v3.3.6 and one client user who used to have no trouble is now occasionally getting HTTP 500 errors when using OTRS. At the same time, errors like the following show up the the Apache httpd error_log:

[Wed May 04 08:17:14 2016] [error] Apache2::RequestIO::read: (70007) The timeout specified has expired at (eval 171) line 5
[Wed May 04 08:56:10 2016] [error] Apache2::RequestIO::read: (70008) Partial results are valid but processing is incomplete at (eval 271) line 5
[Wed May 04 09:21:19 2016] [error] Apache2::RequestIO::read: (70007) The timeout specified has expired at (eval 303) line 5
