Starting udev hangs on boot when ldap logins are configured in RHEL?
Issue
udevhangs on boot- When booting, the system hangs on "Starting udev" for several minutes before continuing.

It may also hang with message:
INIT: version 2.86 booting
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 4 and 5
- ldap logins configured through PAM
