Issue

• yum list gives the error of "Proxy Authentication Required (Forefront TMG requires authorization to fulfill the request. Access to the Web Proxy filter is denied.)" when updating a system behind a proxy.

Resolution

• To register a system which is behind a http proxy, proxy details must be added to the system's /etc/sysconfig/rhn/up2date file.
