RHEL is not able to print text files containing international characters like "ë é ú ü"

Issue

  • The Common Unix printing System (CUPS) in RHEL is not able to print text files containing international characters like  "ë; é; ú; ü".
  • The printer is not able to print text file containing German 'umlaut' and special characters, for example "ä" or "ß".
  • We are having a printing issue on cups printers. The images come out all right but some pages are missing.
  • Files are printed without any umlauts.
  • How to print out text files encoded in Korean(euc-kr) with lp command.
