HP system hangs with VFS: file-max limit reached errors
Issue
- Multiple systems became unresponsive with "
VFS: file-max limit 65536 reached" - Application team reported that the application utilizes a much lower number of open files than the limit
- vmcores were produced from a number of the affected machines for diagnostic purposes
