Updates are no longer downloading properly

Issue

  • Running yum update fails with "Name or service not known" error

  • Running yum update causes the following error:

    [Errno 4] IOError: urlopen error (-2, 'Name or service not known')
  • Do we need to disable "Location aware updates" on the Satellite?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Red Hat Satellite
  • yum-3.2.22-20.el5 and higher
