JON Server reports Agent is down due to "Have not heard from agent [agent-name] since [time]. Will be backfilled since we suspect it is down"

Issue

  • JON Server reports that agent is down, starting 10 minutes after it is brought up and logs the following messages:

        INFO  [org.rhq.enterprise.server.core.AgentManagerBean] Have not heard from agent [agent-name] since [Thu Nov 12 10:29:27 EST 2009]. Will be backfilled since we suspect it is down
    INFO  [org.rhq.enterprise.server.core.AgentManagerBean] Have not heard from agent [agent-name] since [Thu Nov 12 10:34:28 EST 2009]. Will be backfilled since we suspect it is down

  • JON Agent is showing down
