Environment variables as described in Fabric documentation are not able to make any changes to existing Fuse environment.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Red Hat JBoss Fuse 6.2.1 is supposed to match Fabric8 1.2. Fabric8 1.2 supports automatic creation of a fabric or enrolment of the container into an existing fabric using environment variables as per http://fabric8.io/gitbook/environmentVariables.html.
  • This is a significantly easier mechanism than the documented unscripted method of starting the container using Red Hat JBoss Fuse and creating or joining a fabric manually. This would significantly improve and speed up the deployment and automation processes around creating new nodes.

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Fuse
    • 6.2.0
