How to read ISO-8859-1 encoded XML files with the help of FTP-Listener, where the Linux system is configured to use UTF-8 encoding by default?

Issue

• How can I read the ISO-8859-1 encoded XML files on the ESB (with FTP-Listener) where as my Linux (Ubuntu) server is configured to use UTF-8 as default encoding ?
  The requirement is also such that we have to read some other files as well which are encoded with UTF-8. I tried to set a property encoding on the FTP-Listener but no luck:

         <property name="encoding" value="ISO-8859-1" />
