sm-notify DNS resolution failed

Issue

• Getting below error for the server which is not mentioned anywhere in the system.

: sm-notify[2117]: DNS resolution of <server-name> failed; retrying later

• Why sm-notify is trying to alert peer . We can't find this server defined anywhere. It must be in a cache or something. But there is not mention of this server in /etc/mtab /etc/fstab /etc/rc.d/rc.local /etc/auto.*. This happens after a clean reboot, so it is being stored somewhere. Need help finding it.
