Is it possible to remove the Remoting Subsystem from JBoss EAP 6/7 ?

- What does the remoting subsystem actually do?
- What is the remoting subsystem used for? If we do not use remote EJBs is it possible to remove this sub system from our
standalone.xml. Could you guide me on removing the remoting subsystem?
