Why do we have to reinstall 3rd party drivers after updating a kernel and how to do so on Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Issue

• After installation, third-party drivers were compiled against the current kernel. We are afraid that if we patch the system to a new kernel version, we will need to recompile the drivers against the newer kernel. How can we approach the topic so that we can re-apply the third-party drivers?
• After installing a new kernel, what is the best practice for installing new third-party drivers to the new kernel before booting into it?
