Why is Oracle cluster automatically changing virtual IP ?

Issue

  • After updating RHEL 5.3 to RHEL5.8 oracle cluster automatically assigned node-2 virtual IP to node-1 ?
  • Why are Virtual Ip being automatically assigned to the system through there is no configuration file ?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8
  • Oracle Realtime Application Cluster
